Iowa
3 Lane Closure in Butler County Postponed

Lane closures related
to a culvert replacement project on Iowa 3 in Butler County have been
postponed to Monday, May 18, according to the Iowa Department of
Transportation’s (DOT) New Hampton construction office.
The culvert replacement will take place approximately 1.4 miles east of
the intersection of Iowa 3 and Iowa 188. When construction work
is underway, this section of Iowa 3 will be closed and traffic routed
to a marked detour using Butler County roads T-55 and C-45.
All items on this project are expected to be completed by mid-July.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed
limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines
for moving violations can more than double in work zones. As in all
work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between
vehicles and wear seat belts. | | |
