News Colts Win $25,000 from Chase Bank Community Giving Contest on Facebook Posted 17 December 2009 The Colts have won $25,000 in the Chase Bank Community Giving competition on Facebook as one of the top 100 charities in total votes from supporters. Each organization will receive a $25,000 contribution from Chase Bank and these 100 are now eligible for round two of the program in January. 2nd through 6th in total votes in round two will receive $100,000 each and the top vote getter will receive $1,000,000. All 501c 3 charities with less than $2,000,000 in annual revenue were eligible to receive votes.  Over 400,000 charities were eligible to receive votes. The Colts were the only organization in Iowa to receive an award. “We are going to use this donation to support member scholarships and our local programs,” said Greg Orwoll, Colts Executive Director.  “It is a very welcome and unexpected boost for our programs and it is very flattering to be one of the top 100 groups in terms of supporters in the country”. A final vote total will not be announced by Chase, but the last published vote count on December 9 was over 1,600 and climbing. Link to Chase Bank formal announcement.
